My Bio
I am Elena, born under the sign of Aries and I am addicted to historical RPGs... (at least this is my husband's opinion!). I'd say instead that I discovered RPGs in August 2009 and I like them a lot... but I've been writing since primary school (not in English, of course, in my mother tongue!).

I am sailing to you from the Black Sea... or rather a bit more inland, not from a port, but from Bucharest, the capital of Romania.

I am an economist, I work in international relations, so I work in English every day, this is why I had the courage to RP in English. I like writing, reading (mostly historical fiction, this is what I am writing too), listening to music, making new friends... and the RPGs brought me a few friends all over the globe. (Actually this is the reason why I keep doing it, even if sometimes when various people/ aspects frustrate me, quitting and keeping writing alone, in my mother tongue, do cross my mind.)

I am the administrator of "Before the Mast", because Age of Sail has been always my favourite time.

Otherwise? I have a nice husband who supports me even if he isn;t into writing.

I think that in writing a story together with other people, negotiation and compromise are the key words. (Some see compromise as something bad, they give it a negative meaning. No, I don't mean that kind of compromise, but giving and taking mutually, and meeting the others half-way. And some people are really willing to do this, and I am thankful to them.) Why do I say negotiation? Because the objectives of each character must be met. Not only mine and not only yours. And this is why, while I accept surprises and sidetracking from the initial plan, as our muses lead us, I don't like somebody (or me) throwing a major, life-altering event wit

It is somehow strange that, as I have always applied the principle Do to others how you want to be done to you, treat the others how you like to be treated, because this is what I am believing in, sincerely, I don't get treated too often how I like to be treated, and how I do to others, and I am starting to become bitter with this. I understood my staff when having problems and they needed taking a hiatus. School, work, life problems come first; this is perfectly right. But who understands me? It wouldn't be fair for them, not to be understood. But is it fair for me, ultimately, when I get stuck with everything nobody wants/has time to do?

Yes, this had been making me wonder for a while. It might be RP-related, but not only, because it applies to all realms of my life. There are so many people who are enthusiastic for a few moments, then they are losing interest in whatever they liked before and find something else shinier. Am I the strange one that I add new interests to the existing ones, instead of replacing them? (And also, in another context, am I the strange one for always sticking to my promise, even if it hinders me sometimes?) I am interested in Age of Sail since I was 5 and my mother used to read to me a certain newly appeared book (which later I had read so many t

Hey! So nice you decided to watch :)
Cheers!
I saw you do historical RPs... would you be interested in one set in the 17th century? I started a chatroom here on deviantart. chat.deviantart.com/chat/The17…  we cover every topic of history in the 17th century, from the English civil war, to the royale courts to the buccaneers.
I do forum, not chatroom
Tnx for the watch! :)
Howdy, Elena.

I haven't forgotten about you, hun.
Just been inundated with work and a pile of things I'm behind on.
No problem. I can wait no matter how long. I just thought you hadn't seen them, due to being flooded by spam. <3

I understand being busy, especially that it seems to me that you have opened a third site too, besides the Pompeii and the vampire one.
